TRUE JOY

I may not have much money, but I'm rich beyond degree,
Because, by faith, I have been born into God's family.

I feel so close to all of those who love Him as I do.
We fellowship in Christian love, and share our burdens too.

I know I'll never be acclaimed for beauty that men see,
But pray they'll see the beauty of the Lord, revealed in me.

I never will be famous for some great accomplishment,
But knowing Jesus as my Lord has made my life content.

He satisfies my longings, and He is my dearest friend;
And when I need some help, I know on Him I can depend.

So if you long for peace and joy, and lasting happiness,
Accept Christ as your Savior, and your sins to Him confess.
