My Guardian Angel ****** I have an angel guarding me, who never makes a sound, But since I came into the world, he's always been around. Oft times when there was danger, his protectiveness I've known, His wings enfolding, lest I dash my foot against a stone. Because my Heavenly Father cares about each thing I do, He sent my guardian angel to protect my whole life through. I often breathe a prayer of thanks when danger has passed by, Because of help that I've received in bountiful supply. But usually I never know the things he's saved me from, Or all the times he's given help so I could overcome. And when I read the Bible I'm assured that he is there, A beautiful example of my Father's love and care. And some day when my work is done, and life on earth is o'er, We both will kneel at Jesus' feet, and praise Him evermore. ****** Betty Jo Mings © 2000 |
