My Journey Home

I cried to God, "This pain is more than I can bear!"

He said, "I’ll ease your pain; just cast on Me your care."

I said, "I’ve sinned so much that I don’t care to live."

He said, "Confess your sins. I’ll cleanse you and forgive.

I said, "The road is dark…impossible to see."

He gently said, "All things are possible with Me."

I said, "But I’m afraid that I will lose my way."

He said, "I’ll lead you home if close to Me you’ll stay."

I said, "But I’m so tired…I’m weary and depressed."

He said, "Come unto Me, and I will give you rest."

At last I said, "Dear Lord, I’m Yours…please take control.

He said, "Just lean on Me, I’ll heal and make you whole."
