John 11: 25~26
Jesus said unto her, I Am the Resurrection, and the
Life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead,
yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth
in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

THE EMMAUS ROAD

Two men, bound for Emmaus, walked along the dusty road,
With heart and spirits broken, for they’d seen Christ crucified.
They shared their disappointment in the things that had transpired,
And couldn’t understand the reasons, though they really tried.

They thought it was a stranger who had joined their walk that day,
And listened as He then began the Scriptures to unfold.
He showed them all the prophecies of God’s Beloved Son,
And how His death and resurrection, prophets had foretold.

They realized at last ‘twas Jesus Who had walked with them,
And they remembered all His words, and how their hearts had burned.
They rushed to tell their brothers that their Jesus was alive,
Their blessed, true Messiah for which long their hearts had yearned.

Our precious Lord still walks with us today along life’s road.
His love still burns within our hearts if we will hear His voice,
And tell the sin-sick world that Jesus died so men might live,
And have eternal life because we made the Lord our choice.
