ADOPTION

All babies have an inborn need for love and tender care.
They also need someone with whom their troubles they can share.

It’s sad when children have their parents cruelly snatched away,
And often in an orphanage they find they have to stay.

They dream about adoption with a loving Mom and Dad,
Who’ll let them be a family so they won’t be so sad.

But couples long for children with no “baggage” they’ve acquired,
And babies are the children that are always most desired.

Yet there’s a Father who would like to claim you as His own,
And offer love and comfort such as you have never known.

It matters not how old you are – how jaded or defiled,
He wants to cleanse your wicked heart and make you His dear child.

He’ll take away the “baggage” that has filled your life with sin,
And wash your heart as white as snow when you invite Him in.

You’ll have a caring family that prays for you each day,
And asks the Lord to be with you and help you not to stray.

But best of all, some day you’ll join the saints on Heaven’s shore,
Where you’ll be nestled in your Savior’s arms forevermore.
