MY RESOLVE


I refuse to let this loss that I have suffered get me down.
I’ll not walk around discouraged with a sad, unhappy frown.

I won’t let myself stay angry, overcome by bitterness,
But I’ll seek to show forgiveness to the ones who cause distress.

For I know my Savior loves me--that He holds me in His hand,
And He knows the reason for the things I cannot understand.

When I read His precious promises, I know His Word is true.
And everything that He has promised he will surely do.

He’ll help me to survive this pain, and give me faith to trust,
So I can face my life with hope. I can! I will! I must!
