LORD JESUS, COME QUICKLY!

“Lord Jesus, come quickly!” my heart softly cries,
As I look for His coming again in the skies.

The days have been dreary; the nights have been long,
But the hope of His coming has given a song.

In all of this world that is drowning in sin,
The Lord has a remnant with peace deep within.

For we know we’re redeemed, and the full price was paid
When all of our sins on Christ’s shoulders were laid.

He rose from the grave, and has gone to prepare
Our mansions in Heaven, awaiting us there.

He promised He’d someday return to this earth,
And gather His loved ones who’ve had a new birth.

So I fall on my knees ev'ry day, and I pray,
“Lord Jesus, come quickly, and take us away!”
