GIFTS OF THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT FROM GOD

We thank You, dear Lord, for Your gift of pure LOVE,
Extended to all on this earth.
You sent Your own Son to this world sick with sin,
As Angels appeared at His birth.

We thank You for JOY as we savor each gift
We receive every day that we live.
The gift of salvation is better by far
Than any gift humans can give.

We thank You for PEACE in our hearts and our minds,
Because we don’t have to fear death.
But those who have never salvation received,
Can only feel lost and bereft.

We’re thankful that You are LONGSUFFERING with us,
And want to forgive us our sins.
You bury them deep in the depths of the sea,
And never recall them again.

We thank You for being so GENTLE with us,
And save every tear that we shed.
You hold us securely in Your loving arms,
And count every hair on each head.

We thank You for KINDNESS we find as we strive
To follow the pathway You lead.
You answer our prayers e’en before we have prayed,
And always supply every need.

We thank You for GOODNESS to us that You show,
From Your wonderful, bounteous supply.
We never could count all the blessings we know,
No matter how hard we might try.

We’re thankful Your FAITHFULNESS never will end,
For Your Own blessed Word tells us so.
Your blessings are new every morning we live,
And each day more assurance we know.

We’re thankful that You have CONTROL of our lives,
To stop our temptation to roam.
We bow down in worship and praise at Your feet,
Until You say, “Children, come home!”
