~ STREAMS OF LIVING WATER ~
My soul was parched and weary as I trudged through desert sands.
My heart was over-laden with the weight of life's demands.
I cried to God in anguish, "Lord, I can't take any more!
I've used up all the hoarded strength I thought I had in store!
So please just take me home right now, for I don't want to live.
I've shared until my well is dry; there's nothing left to give."
But Jesus in His mercy heard my heartfelt, desperate cry,
And filled my empty vessel from His bountiful supply.
He gave me peace and comfort as I read His Word and prayed,
And showed me when I trust in Him, I'll never be afraid.
Instead of barren desert, I see beauty all around,
And streams of living water quench this dry and thirsty ground.
Oh Lord, I thank You for the grace that set my spirit free,
And for Your love that ransomed me for all eternity.
