OUR HANDS

The Lord holds our hands as He guides us each day,
To keep us from evil and going astray.

But if we would stand for the Lord and endure,
Our hands must be clean, and must also be pure.

Our hands must be loving, and faithful, and true,
And show Christ's compassion in all that we do.

Our hands must encourage all those who are weak,
And always be careful God's guidance to seek.

Our hands must stay useful by day and by night,
While serving our Master with all of our might.

If the Lord were to grade us each day on our hands,
Would our grades show that we have obeyed His commands?

Would He find our hands clean -- full of loving, kind deeds,
And see they are useful and planting God's seeds?

Oh Lord, till we see You some day, face to face,
Teach our hands to reflect Your sweet love and Your grace.
