MY DAD

My dearest Dad, I love you,
And on this special day
There are so many things that
I feel, but seldom say.

I've learned to love the Savior,
By watching how you live.
You've set a good example,
By all the love you give.

I cherish you wise counsel,
And like to have you near.
You give me help when needed,
Yet never interfere.

The praises of another
Bring pride, and make one glad.
But these words make me proudest,
“You know, you’re like your Dad.”

I’m thankful for your caring,
And generosity.
I pray that God will bless you,
The way that you’ve blessed me.
