HERE I AM AGAIN, LORD

Sweet Jesus, tears are flowing as I bow my head in prayer.
You know how much I'm hurting, and I know how much You care.

Yet waves of grief and sadness seem to come without an end,
And so I turn again for help to You, my dearest friend.

I need the peace You offer, and I need Your calming grace.
I need Your arms around me as the storms of life I face.

I never could survive without the comfort that You give,
And knowing You will walk with me as long as I shall live.

So Lord, I want to thank You for the wonder of Your love,
And for Your constant care as You are watching from above.

Please keep me always mindful of the price You paid for me,
And cleanse my heart completely, so that more like You I'll be;

Till some day when You take me home to Heaven's shining shore,
I'll be with You forever, and life's trials will be no more.
