~ SENIOR MUSINGS ~

We Seniors are living much longer these days,
And many consider us set in our ways.

But we love the old hymns that we sang in our youth,
And we strive to be honest and cling to the truth.

We pray to the Lord for our country each day,
And we thank Him for blessings He showers our way.

We still get a thrill when our flag passes by,
As our hands touch our hearts, and a tear dims each eye.

Technology moves on at such a fast pace,
And all are encouraged to join the rat race.

So we type on computers, and shop on E-Bay,
And we talk on our cell phones to friends far away.

But our hearts are still burdened for our native land
That has wandered so far from our Lord’s guiding hand.

It grieves us to see just how far we have strayed
From the faith of our fathers, and God’s laws we obeyed.

So we pray that our children, and all our offspring
Will honor the Savior, and crown Him as King.

For He is the answer to all the earth’s woes,
And only through Him can we win o’er our foes.

We pray He’ll come quickly, and gather His own
To a far better place than we ever have known.

So we anxiously wait for our home on that shore,
Where sorrow and sickness will bind us no more.
