MY HEART IS BREAKING FOR YOU

My heart is breaking just to know the pain you're going through,
And I am longing for a way to offer hope to you.

I want to help you as you struggle down life's weary road,
And I would like to lift you up and share your heavy load.

I want to hold you in my arms, and brush away your tears;
To take away sad memories, and banish all your fears.

But since I'm only human, and these things I cannot do,
I know Someone Who can do these, and much, much more for you.

He is my precious Jesus, and I've placed you in His care,
And I'm assured He'll care for you, and save you from despair.

He'll give you peace and comfort through the terror-ridden night,
And He will hold you in His arms, and love away your fright.

He'll let me share in blessing you by prayers I offer up,
And you will know His mercy by His peace within your cup.
